I converted STL into an ASCII form, replaced most of the tiny numbers (e-15) with zeros and saved as cylinder_asci_fix.stl - it has only 8 naked edges.

I replaced the rest of the tiny numbers (e-16, e-18) with zeros - all the naked edges disappeared.
