cmdgate provides a way to call cmd commands from other CLIs such as bash from WSL
by starting a cmd process, piping stdin, and captuing output from stdout and stderr.
- Using scoop
scoop bucket add sky-bucket https://github.com/skyppex/sky-bucket
scoop install sky-bucket/cmdgate- Build it your self
Make sure you have cargo and rustc installed.
Then pull the repo onto your machine.
git clone https://github.com/Skyppex/cmdgate.gitor
gh repo clone Skyppex/cmdgateNavigate to the path containing the cargo.toml file.
Run cargo build --release and the executable will be dumped in the ./target/release folder. From there you have the binary and can execute it from your command line. :D
It's recommended to add it to your PATH or copy it to a folder already in your PATH.
At any time when running the command you can use -h or --help to see all the options available.
-s or --source-> Path to file to read from, otherwise it uses stdin-d or --destination-> Path to file to write to, otherwise it uses stdout-c or --command-> cmd command to run (REQUIRED)-v or --version-> This will print the version number
