Summary of Changes
Hello @hnyls2002, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
This pull request introduces a crucial validation step to the server argument parsing logic. It aims to prevent potential instability and incorrect results in paged attention backends by disallowing specific combinations of speculative_eagle_topk and page_size parameters. By raising an immediate ValueError for unsupported configurations, the change ensures that the system operates within stable and correct parameters, improving overall reliability.
Highlights
- Input Validation: Added a new validation check in
server_args.pyto prevent unstable or incorrect behavior. This check specifically targets configurations wherespeculative_eagle_topkis greater than 1 andpage_sizeis greater than 1, for attention backends other than "flashinfer".

Code Review
This pull request adds a validation check to ServerArgs to prevent running with an unstable configuration for speculative decoding. Specifically, it raises a ValueError if speculative_eagle_topk > 1 is used with page_size > 1 for any paged attention backend other than flashinfer. This is a good preventative measure. My feedback focuses on improving the clarity of the error message for a better user experience.
