fix(aws-eventbridge): omit default bus name from rule SourceArn - #14041
AnkushMittal552 wants to merge 2 commits into
Conversation
When `eventBus: default` (or the default bus ARN) was set explicitly, the Lambda permission SourceArn was built as `rule/default/<name>`, but rules on the default event bus have ARNs of the form `rule/<name>`. EventBridge then could not invoke the function. Apply the same check to the legacy custom resource path. Closes serverless#13038

Assert the SourceArn sent to AddPermission by the legacy custom resource for an unset bus, the default bus, the default bus ARN and custom buses.
Closes: #13038
Problem
Rules on the account's default event bus have ARNs of the form
arn:<partition>:events:<region>:<account>:rule/<ruleName>. A bus name segment only appears for custom buses. When
eventBus: defaultwas set explicitly (or the default bus ARN,arn:...:event-bus/default), the Lambda permission'sSourceArnwas built asrule/default/<ruleName>. That ARN matches no rule, so EventBridge isn't allowed to invoke the function. LeavingeventBusout already produced the correct ARN.Changes
