fix(core): Model.sync({ schema }) should not move models with an explicit default schema - #18503

…icit default schema
Model.sync()'s schema option is meant to only move models that don't declare their own schema (per the docs: "This can be overridden for each table in sequelize.define"). But the guard compared the model's resolved table.schema against the dialect's default schema, and an explicitly-declared schema equal to the default (e.g. { schema: 'public' } on Postgres) is indistinguishable from no schema at all once resolved - both just read as 'public'. That silently moved such models into the sync-time schema instead of leaving them alone.
Use the model's own (pre-resolution) options.schema to tell the two cases apart instead.

…ants
CodeRabbit correctly flagged a regression in the previous commit: scoped variants (Model.withScope(...), Model.withSchema(...)) always carry a concrete, resolved schema in their own model options (via _createModelVariant), even when the underlying model never declared one. Checking the variant's own modelDefinition.options.schema therefore misidentified every scoped variant as having explicitly pinned its schema, so Model.withScope('someScope').sync({ schema: 'tenant' }) silently stopped moving models that never declared a schema at all.
Fixed by consulting the initial model's options (via getInitialModel()) instead of the variant's own options - that flag is unaffected by scope/schema variant creation, since withScope()/withSchema() always resolve back to the initial model before creating a new variant. The existing non-default-schema guard (which already handled explicit withSchema(other) calls correctly) is left untouched.

Fixed the withScope regression you flagged — thanks for catching it. Now consulting the initial model's declared schema (via |
Summary
Model.sync({ schema })is documented to only move models that don't declare their own schema ("This can be overridden for each table in sequelize.define"), but the guard compared the model's resolvedtable.schemaagainst the dialect's default schema. A model explicitly declaring{ schema: 'public' }on Postgres resolves to the exact same string as a model with no schema at all, so both were silently moved into the sync-time schema instead of the explicit one being left alone.options.schemato tell "no schema declared" apart from "explicitly declared the default schema", instead of comparing already-resolved schema strings.Test plan
