This is not /that/ desirable because steam_appid.txt should not be something you're necessarily shipping with your game, and then everyone would have to write logic to strip it |

I was under the impression that you need that to initialize steam to ship the game because without the steam_appid.txt file, my game build was failing to initialize steam despite it being open and it working in the editor. Am I missing something here? |
