The word "line" is probably more appropriate than "row" in the context of the code reading exercise. Both "line of code" and "line of text" are standard terms, whereas "row of text" is much more rare [1] and used more in specific contexts such as where a single "logical line" is spread over multiple "displayed lines" or "rows" in a terminal window. I've mostly seen it used in highly specific contexts such as when discussing how a single "logical line" is spread over multiple "rows" in a terminal window.
