Extraneous github environments #4342

Description

@clairep94

Disclosure: explored this issue with Claude:

Findings:
There are about 350 per-branch environments on the p5.js web-editor repo with the naming pattern p5.js-web-editor: <branch> (tedXXXX), for example p5.js-web-editor: dependabot/npm-and-yarn/svgo-2.8.3 (ted2c5a).

They go back to 2022 and arrived at 5–23 a month, mostly for dependabot and contributor branches. The newest one is from 2026-07-22, and none have appeared since. No workflow in .github/workflows/ uses names like that. They're almost certainly from a third-party GitHub App integration that made a preview or deployment environment for each branch or PR. The repo's Settings → GitHub Apps / Integrations page will show what's installed. But likely that integration has already been turned off

Solution:
Bulk delete via gh api -X DELETE repos/processing/p5.js-web-editor/environments/<url-encoded name>
This can be done by a script by an admin

    Thanks for looking into it! We could do this in the next maintainers triage call.
