    I had opened a fix for the standalone-comment-in-do-while case (originally #4171) here: catarak/loop-protect/pull/2. Flagging it here since #4171 was marked duplicate of this tracking issue — let me know if this fits the direction you're taking for the broader fix, or if you'd like me to adjust/wait @clairep94 p94 @doradocodes @ksen0
