How to set up the stub dir correctly? #2822

The stubs are certainly distributed in the PHAR - which version of Phpactor are you using? But goto definition will not work on stubs in the PHAR - as you cannot open the file in your IDE client (unless your IDE client has special support for opening files in PHARs) |

I'm not actually using an IDE client, I just want to get the position within the stub back correctly, its fine if I can't open it. As a side note, is there some ability for non-deterministic behavior? When I execute a single gotodefinition on a symbol in my project it works, but when I am sending a bunch of requests programmatically (ends up being like 20/second) its not able to resolve the same definition. Any ideas there? Also happy to set up a quick call or something rather than typing all this out. Might be easier to just show you. |

Hmm after inspecting the phar more I do see the phpstorm stubs inside the phar. It's really unclear to me then why it wouldn't be able to find them, is there some phar-reading dependency I need to install? |

But actually my bigger issue is the fact that the behavior appears to be non-deterministic depending on whether I am sending a lot of requests at once to the server. I'm happy to open a different discussion with that if you'd prefer |

Also I see #2754 is basically the issue I was hitting with the file:// instead of phar:// |

Hey guys, new to phpactor and I'm sure I'm just going about this wrong.
I have a custom LSP client that wraps various language servers and does more complex operations like building call hierarchies. So I need the configuration to be bulletproof
I am using phpactor in language server mode. The issue I'm having is when I try to call GoToDefinition on a built-in symbol I get this
Based on
phpactor config:dumpthis appears to be coming fromSpecifically, the second entry, which I believe means that it's expecting the stubs to be packaged with the phar? But the github release phar does not have these stubs, correct? And the
composer install"manual installation` route in the docs doesn't appear to create a phar either?This config comes from adding a
.phpactor.jsonas followsSo it appears the stub_paths just appends rather than replaces the default?
So based on all of this it seems like there are some options to resolve, but I don't know how to accomplish them
