Which OS are you using? Everything listed under https://nginx.org/en/linux_packages.html#distributions does have 1.29.x builds in mainline.

Using Oracle 8 (so RHEL clone).

I don't see 1.29 here.

1.29.x are mainline builds, so they can be found in https://nginx.org/packages/mainline/rhel/8/x86_64/RPMS/ (see the mainline part in the URI)

They will not get promoted to the stable repo, you can check the difference between over at https://docs.nginx.com/nginx/admin-guide/installing-nginx/installing-nginx-open-source/#stable_vs_mainline

Yeah, your only option for now if you care about those fixes is to use the mainline packages.
