also improved isLessThanOrEqualTo and simplified Ord instances of Comparable types.
+ some other minor refactoring.

I originally only wanted to improve
isLessThanOrEqualTobut then I saw other things in Ord that could be improved in terms of performances or code-reuse...and then I tested some refactoring in
PriorityQueue.
