🆕 Announcing the New VS Code Extension for Azure Cosmos DB🔥 #2759

We’re pleased to share that the Azure Databases extension for Visual Studio Code has been rebranded to the Azure Cosmos DB extension — focused exclusively on Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL. Microsoft for Developers

Why this change?

• To deliver more streamlined, NoSQL-focused tooling.
• To simplify the developer experience and improve performance.

What does this mean for existing users?

• Your extension will auto-update to the new version. No action required for most users.
• Your existing workflows should continue without interruption.

What about the other database support?

For folks using MongoDB (RU/vCore), Azure PostgreSQL, or DocumentDB there are now dedicated extensions:
