Fixes #11335.

See PEP-0257:

Use r"""raw triple double quotes""" if you use any backslashes in your docstrings.

That definitely fixes it on the other machine. Confused why the two machines are different, but I guess thats beside the point.

          - reject py2 incompatible changes
	lib/matplotlib/axes/_axes.py
         - also backports some documentation changes
