As discussed in #5290 (comment), The while loop in gf2_matrix_times should terminate after 32 iterations. That means the value of 'start' should be 0 after (start>>32). Trimming the value beyond 32 bits ensures that behavior.

@headius Thanks for merging this! I was wondering if you could you tell when this change would be released? This was kind of blocker for us to migrate to JRuby. |
