Our spec:profiler suite has not been running in CI, and so the profiler has bitrotted. There's also potential that the new IR runtime has broken parts of the profiling. In any case, we need to fix it.

Here's the issue where @dmarcotte noticed the suite was not running and the output had regressed: #2081

I have incorporated his PR, but the specs still do not pass (I'm not sure if they improved or not). rake spec:profiler will run them, or run rspec spec/profiler/<some_spec>.rb.

Need to have this working for 9k, but it's a lower priority for the preview release.
