Q1: yes, that setup is exactly "normal" venetian blind mode — you're controlling when it closes and ACP adjusts the tilt once it is closed. No dual-axis needed. Q2: for the fly screen safety interlock, the cleanest approach is what you're already doing at the Z-Wave actuator level, but you could also wire it as a Force Override sensor — when the Ikea window sensor is open, force the cover to a safe position (or use the automatic control toggle). Force Override is in Settings and takes a binary sensor ID directly. |

Like in #36 I have a similar situation. To add additional danger, I have a fly screen door that opens to the outside and would destroy at least the roller blind (yes, tested :-/ ) if it is closed while the fly screen is open.
Today I disable both Venetian blind and roller blind via z-wave protocol at their actuators once the fly screen is opened, I detect this with an Ikea window sensor. That also prevents local operations at the buttons.
Now getting to the question (as I got a little confused with all the dual-axis Venetian blind things): I operate this venetian blind ONLY on demand, meaning I close it actively via HA or local button and ONLY then the tilt is adjusted.
Q1: Does that scream like a "normal" Venetian blind setup without dual axis control? So I would have to set up an automation to turn on automatic tilt while cover position is <100 and turn off if =100?
Q2: On all other Venetian blinds I plan to use the dual axis option. How does manual operation with switches work then? With old Adaptive Cover integration, I solved it like described in Q1 for all Venetian blinds: turn auto on once cover is closed (but then I can't use dual axis control which has several advantages of course)
