Although we have various methods to create satins, users seem to wish for an even more simple solution. Using strokes directly as a satin has always been a request, as the stroke zigzag option doesn't render corners very well (which on the other hand turned out to be useful for a fury look used within meander fills).

This enables the satin column option in the params dialog for simple strokes with only one subpath as soon as the stroke width is at least 0.3 mm.

Note: It uses the same method as stroke to satin and also doesn't recognize asymmetric transforms.

Could not make it fail !
I like your minimum width limit, this way, it is still possible to select a whole lettering group (satin and running stitch), reparameter the satins without turning the running stitches to satin.
And in the other hand if some stroke have a large enough width, they do are turned into satin. Nice.
