We've now resolved the issues with ingesting matrix_vars in status reports and can begin sending this field again.

Effectively reverts #132, but targeted against main.

Merge / deployment checklist

  • Confirm this change is backwards compatible with existing workflows.
  • Confirm the readme has been updated if necessary.
