Updated the release notes such that 8.0.0 reflects the changes from 7.0.0 and not from when we branched out from 6.12.0

IMPORTANT

• The changes are covered by unit tests which follow the Arrange-Act-Assert syntax and the naming conventions such as is used in these tests.
