Build Firebase.zip with Xcode 16 on macOS 26. Targeted for next release cycle: M179.

+ Xcode 26.2
- Xcode 16.2
+ Build on macOS 26 (Tahoe)
- Build on macOS 15 (Sequoia)
  • Update Xcode and macOS version in ./github/workflows/release.zip.yml
  • Update repo docs.
  • Diff XCFrameworks with Xcode 16.2-built ones (No diff)
  • Quickstart Zip tests are passing on macOS 5
  • Local quickstart zip smoke tests for AI and Firestore samples.

Next Steps

  • Update all min. Xcode testing to new min.
  • Remove macOS 14 testing, since Xcode 26 is not available on macOS 14.
  • DevSite doc updates.
