True to its title, the series leans hard into the noir tradition: rain-slicked streets, venetian-blind shadows, a jazz-and-cigarette-smoke mood, and long stretches shot in stark black and white. Cage anchors it with a tired, hard-boiled gravity that suits the period, while producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal lend the project the same affection for this corner of the Spider-Man mythos that made the *Spider-Verse* films sing.

It lands at a confident **4/5**: a stylish, atmospheric, and genuinely distinctive take on a comic-book property that too rarely gets the prestige treatment.
