The project
bleachis deprecated. I chosenh3because it's a thin wrapper around the well-maintained sanitizer ammonia, which adds longevity to the recommendation since minimal maintenance is required for such bindings. Also, the author notes that it's ~20x faster thanbleach.If you prefer something that's pure Python, a relatively new option is justhtml. The author appears engaged in the community and has apparently adopted tests from the suites of other sanitizers. I wouldn't recommend it currently because of how new it is and because I'm not exactly sure how much of it was generated by AI.
