I love this library, but with the current inactivity from the maintainer of exceljs I was wondering if, he will ever come back to continue this library which is by many used in production environments.

I get that open-source is a hard "job" and understand completely that someone would like to take a break or exit, so I was wondering if we could find a solution to continue on the work that has been done and keep progressing this library as there are many open PR's?

A message from the maintainer on the discord server (which I don't recommend you go to, as it's poorly moderated), clearly states that they are taking a leave because of work.

Is anyone already working on a fork? Or what are other people their plans to keep using this library or have you found alternatives?
