These tests are intended for scenarios where multiple threads read from one DataChannelRereader (DCR) instance at the same time. Such a thing may happen easily for singletons, like
Battery. The first DCR implementation contained a data race on thebyteBuffercontents/limits. Both current versions should no longer be susceptible to this (DCR1 issynchronized, DCR2 uses thread-local buffers).This was previously part of #775; that PR is now dedicated to DCR2 changes.
