π I am currently an early career climate scientist and master's degree holder in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, My final year thesis was on sea ice projection over the Labrador coast (Nunatsiavut) using outputs from a high-resolution Community Earth System Model (CESM-HR) and Canada Ice Service (CIS). Results indicate that by the end of the 21st century, sea ice along the Labrador coast. The coast is expected to be ice-free in September by the end of the century. The ice will retreat later and break up earlier. These trends could be minimized if we monitor our carbon footprint and control many of the anthropogenic activities that lead to an increase in greenhouse gases, especially CO2. Recent papers indicate that with CO2 levels rising above 100 gigatonnesπ , the Arctic will likely experience ice-free summers by 2050. Climate Science is funπ
π± I am into data science and analytics, high-performance computing, machine learning, AI, web design and development, as well as UI/UX and graphic design.
π€ I am open to partnering on initiatives involving data, climate science, and design. Volunteering for research that captures my interest is something I would consider.
π¬ Feel free to ask me any question; I relish the opportunity to contribute to solutions or solve challenging problems.
π« You can reach out to me at thomas.kyeimiah@mail.mcgill.ca or kyeimiahthomasamo97@gmail.com. You are welcome to have an engaging conversation about science, data, and creative development and design.
β‘ Interestingly, one fun fact about me is that I never rest until a task is completedποΈ.
