The `mobile-unit-js` job (displayed as `Mobile`) runs `npm run native test`,
which delegates to `packages/react-native-editor`'s own Jest suite
(`test/native/jest.config.js`) — the React Native editor's JavaScript unit
tests.
This branch has already removed the rest of the React Native mobile CI:
`rnmobile-ios-runner.yml`, `rnmobile-android-runner.yml`, and
`gradle-wrapper-validation.yml` are all gone. React Native mobile support is
no longer maintained or shipped by Gutenberg, and testing it is not something
a frozen `wp/6.2` maintenance branch needs to keep doing. This job is the last
piece of that CI surface still present here.
Unlike `wp/6.9` and `wp/7.0`, where the equivalent job is permanently disabled
with `if: false`, the job on this branch is not disabled: it carries the
ordinary `if: ${{ github.repository == 'WordPress/gutenberg' || github.event_name == 'pull_request' }}`
condition, it runs, and it passes. It is removed for scope and consistency
with the React Native cleanup already done on this branch, not because it is
broken.
Nothing else in the workflow referenced it — no `needs:` entry named it, and
no job produced outputs solely for it — so removing the job block is the whole
change.
