New Pieces -- work in progress -- does not build yet.
Sometimes you have to break things and make a mess before cleaning it up. This is one of those times. I ripped out all the old bitmaps and made the code unbuildable for the time being. I am going to rework everything to use transparent bitmaps at higher resolution.
