@zoodor emphasis is already working fine on this page http://codebar.github.io/tutorials/js/lesson3/tutorial.html, but also this fix doesn't seem to work tutorial 4.

Interesting - it works on github.io, but not when viewing the page directly on the repository (https://github.com/codebar/tutorials/blob/gh-pages/js/lesson3/tutorial.md). They must be using different markdown interpreters.

I'm confused about the comment on tutorial 4 as it definitely works for me when viewing on the repository.

@zoodor sorry about the confusion, I updated the markdown in this commit right after writing my comment

You can have a look in your local environment by installing the jekyll gem and running the server with it jekyll server
