Getting Started

When you first run BitDiffer, you'll need to create a new Comparison Set, which is the collection of files (or directories) you want to compare along with all the configuration options controlling the extraction and analysis process and the view filters controlling the display of information.

To create the comparison set, press the New button on the toolbar. You will be prompted for the files or directories you want to compare. Refer to the section on Assembly Selection for information on this screen. You can optionally specify parameters for the comparison Configuration as well as the [View Filter](View Filter.html).

After selecting the assemblies and options, the comparison will be performed and results presented.

The help topic covering the GUI Interface covers the comparison results in detail.
