The github workflows fail with PHP version error #698

Closed

Description

@ryelle

The workflows are all failing at the composer step, due to PHP version issues. See the failures: https://github.com/WordPress/wporg-main-2022/actions

Looks like it coincides with this change in the repo-tools: WordPress/wporg-repo-tools@809746f

Here's the error from a run:

Error: Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages.

Problem 1

  • Root composer.json requires wporg/wporg-repo-tools dev-trunk -> satisfiable by wporg/wporg-repo-tools[dev-trunk].
  • wporg/wporg-repo-tools dev-trunk requires php ^8.4 -> your php version (7.4; overridden via config.platform, actual: 8.4.21) does not satisfy that requirement.

    Thanks for the FYI @ryelle! I was about to notice that broken today 👀
