Description

Adds a test class for single_term_title(), which had no direct tests.

The tests cover:

  • The returned title with a prefix on category, tag and custom taxonomy archives.
  • Displaying the title by default (returning null), with and without a prefix.
  • null and no output on the home page and on author and post type archives.
  • Each archive type applying only its own filter (single_cat_title, single_tag_title or single_term_title) with the term name, and the filtered title being used.
  • null and no output when the filtered title is empty.

Each behaviour was checked against a mutated source (each filter skipped, is_tax() check removed, empty title check removed, prefix dropped when returning or displaying, display flag inverted, category and tag checks swapped); a test fails for every mutation.

This is a test-only change; no production code is modified.

Testing Instructions

  1. npm run test:php -- --filter Tests_General_SingleTermTitle
  2. npm run test:php -- -c tests/phpunit/multisite.xml --filter Tests_General_SingleTermTitle
  3. npm run test:php -- --group general --order-by=random
