Backports the
wp-envchange from #46510 (commit) that picks the PHPUnit image for each PHP version. PHP7.3through8.2now use the PHPUnit 9 images, and PHP7.2stays on PHPUnit 8.Why?
On this branch,
wp-envruns PHPUnit in a separatephpunitcontainer, and picks that container'swordpressdevelop/phpunitimage from the PHP version. The map stops at8.0, so the8.1legs of the matrix added in #84403 fell back towordpressdevelop/phpunit:latest, which runs PHP8.2.26. The7.4legs ran PHPUnit 8.5, while the Core handbook lists PHPUnit 9 for PHP 7.3 and higher on WordPress 5.9.How?
The change to
packages/env/lib/build-docker-compose-config.jsis the same as in #46510. It also adds that PR's two changelog entries topackages/env/CHANGELOG.md. #84404 and the rest of the stack are rebased on top of this PR.Testing Instructions
A trial run of this change on top of the full stack (desrosj#835) passed on every leg and reported these versions, the same for single site and multisite:
