What?

Backports #33160 (eaf3f8b) to wp/5.8. It adds packages/e2e-tests/mu-plugins/disable-remote-patterns.php, which sets should_load_remote_block_patterns to false for the e2e test site.

Why?

Every e2e shard on this branch fails. The tests' own assertions pass; the console checks after each test fail on "Block validation failed" messages for the Button, Cover, Gallery, Media & Text and Spacer blocks.

WordPress 5.8 loads the "core" block patterns from the WordPress.org pattern directory every time the editor opens. Some of those patterns have since been updated with markup from newer WordPress versions (for example wp-element-button and Cover's is-light), which this branch's blocks don't recognise, so every editor load logs validation errors.

No test on this branch uses a remote pattern: the pattern adding-patterns inserts, "Social links with a shared background color", is registered locally by both Gutenberg and WordPress 5.8.

How?

A straight cherry-pick of the trunk commit. .wp-env.json already maps packages/e2e-tests/mu-plugins into the test site, so the file takes effect without other changes.

On this branch the e2e "Admin 1–4" pass, unlike the base branch #84452
