Removes the
spatie/phpunit-watcherdev dependency: drops it fromrequire-devincomposer.json, drops thetest:watchComposer script (keeping"test": "phpunit"), and drops thetest:php:watchnpm script frompackage.jsonthat called it. This branch commits nocomposer.lock, so there is no lock to regenerate. It also deletesphpunit-watcher.yml.distand removes the watcher instructions fromdocs/contributors/code/testing-overview.md.Why?
The PHPUnit matrix added by the PR below this one (#84248) includes PHP
5.6and7.0legs.spatie/phpunit-watcherpulls insymfony/polyfill-php80through itssymfony/*dependencies, and that package'sbootstrap.phpis a Composerfilesautoload entry written in PHP 7.1+ syntax. Loadingvendor/autoload.phpon PHP5.6or7.0is therefore a parse error before any test runs.spatie/phpunit-watcheronly backs the localcomposer test:watchconvenience command, which CI never runs. Removing it outright fixes the crash on every matrix leg, rather than adding a workflow step that removes it from the Composer dependency set on older PHP versions only.Use of AI Tools
