What?

Extracted from #82732

Updates @wp-playground/cli to ^3.1.56 in @wordpress/env and @y/websocket-server to ^0.1.5 in the E2E workspace, removing two native install scripts from the dependency tree.

Why?

Install scripts run arbitrary code on every npm install, on contributor machines and in CI, and are a common supply chain attack vector. Removing the ones we do not need shrinks that surface and lets npm 12 (#82732) deny dependency install scripts without breaking anything.

How?

  • fs-ext@2.1.1 (optional in Playground 3.0.x, runs node-gyp configure build) is replaced by fs-ext-extra-prebuilt@2.2.7, which ships prebuilt binaries for Node 20 to 25.
  • leveldown@5.6.0 (runs node-gyp-build, via the optional y-leveldb of @y/websocket-server@0.1.1) is gone in 0.1.5.
  • fs-ext-extra-prebuilt still declares an install script, which only compiles when no prebuilt binary matches (Node 26); nan is bumped to 2.29.0 so that build succeeds.
  • @y/websocket-server@0.1.5 nests yjs@14; an override points it at @y/y, which @y/protocols uses, as Framework: Update npm to v12 #82732 does.

Testing Instructions

  1. npm ci --ignore-scripts, then npm run wp-env start -- --runtime=playground starts WordPress.
  2. npm run --workspace @wordpress/e2e-tests-playwright test:e2e:rtc-websocket passes.
