Follow up to #83569.

What?

Avoid Vite's dynamic-import warning when useWidgetTypes loads a widget metadata module supplied by the host.

Why?

The module URL is known only at runtime. Vite cannot analyze it, so Storybook and Browser Mode report a warning even though the import is intentional.

How?

Mark this one import with @vite-ignore beside its existing webpack marker. The dashboard's runtime module loader uses the same pattern.

Testing Instructions

  1. Run npm run build, then npm run test:unit -- packages/widget-dashboard/src/test/widget-inserter.browser.test.tsx. All 13 tests should pass without the dynamic-import warning. The separate PostCSS warning may remain.
  2. Run npm run storybook:build, then npm exec --no --workspace @wordpress/storybook -- vitest run --config vitest.config.ts --reporter=default packages/widget-primitives/src/components/widget-render/stories/index.story.tsx. All 8 stories should pass without the dynamic-import warning.

Use of AI Tools
