The Collaboration feature might use a separate category in the preferences; we could do that in the plugin and ship it with the next WP release. Note: RC cycles have a hard string freeze. I would recommend avoiding backporting any changes that include new translatable strings. If it's really required, check in the release channels first. |

I think this is the way to go for now. I wouldn't be against them being individually filterable or something though. I've added a low priority issue into the 7.1 iteration issue for this: #76499 |

A user preference for notifications was originally proposed in #75323 but wasn't included in the first implementation (#76065). This adds it now, following the
showCollaborationCursorpattern from #76270.How?
NOTIFICATIONS_CONFIGconstant and its three guard clauses fromuseCollaboratorNotifications.showCollaborationNotificationspreference (default:true) registered in bothedit-postandedit-site.preferencesStoreinuseCollaboratorNotifications.
