Gallery Block Spacing does not change on mobile Device Preview in Responsive editing mode #79968

In testing the Responsive Styling for #75121 I noticed that when Styling the Gallery block, I have the option to change the block spacing on the Mobile device viewport while in Responsive editing mode, however the block spacing changes are not applied to either the editor or published front end page.
Step-by-step reproduction instructions
Testing with playground link from https://make.wordpress.org/test/2026/07/03/call-for-testing-responsive-styling/
- Add a page
- Add a gallery block
- Enable Responsive editing from the device picker UI
- Change to the Mobile viewport
- Increase the block spacing with the mobile viewport active

Hmm yeah the custom implementation is behind this for sure; that's probably a consequence of the legacy flex layout Gallery uses. Let me see how it might be fixed!
