What problem does this address?

While designing and testing, I am finding that I very frequently need to select "Edit" in the toolbar of the template part to either:

• Reset customizations
• See the available patterns in "Designs" for my header/ footer. I would like to be able to see and select them without the extra step.
• Select a new section style for my header /footer

What is your proposed solution?

Can the "intentional friction" of the edit step be reduced?
