Also directly call init(data:) and handle try/catch to avoid unnecessary pass through init(_ object: Any).

In response to #774, there is now no way to call init(parseJSON:) and enable fragments. This simple change should allow it without breaking any existing code.
Also, this init now directly calls init(data:) to avoid an unnecessary pass through init(_ object: Any).
