The open-source version of Stirling-PDF (everything outside the app/proprietary directory) does not enforce a user limit—there is no code or configuration in the MIT-licensed parts that restricts the number of users. The 5-user limit is a policy or enforcement that applies only to proprietary components. If you build Stirling-PDF yourself without the proprietary directory, you are governed solely by the MIT license and can have as many users as you want. This is confirmed by both a maintainer's statement and a review of the codebase and license files discussion.

There is currently no user limit, our website is incorrect

The MIT has no user accounts but allows unlimited usage
The proprietary has user accounts
Currently unlimited, but eventually we plan to restrict to 5 user accounts
