To change the meta information (like title, description, keywords, or Open Graph tags) for SEO on your Stirling-PDF homepage, you need to edit the Thymeleaf templates used by the app. Here’s how you can do it:

The main meta tags are set in a shared fragment: src/main/resources/templates/fragments/common.html. The homepage itself is src/main/resources/templates/home.html, which includes this fragment in its <head> section.
By default, only basic meta tags (like <title> and <meta name="description">) are present, and their values are set using variables like appName. There are no Open Graph, Twitter, or keywords meta tags unless you add them yourself.

To make your changes upgrade-safe, copy the original template(s) you want to modify into your deployment’s customFiles/templates/fragments/ directory (matching the original structure), then edit them as needed. For example, to add a meta description, keywords, or Open Graph tags, edit your custom common.html and add:

<meta name="keywords" content="pdf, tools, converter, your, keywords">
<meta property="og:title" content="Your Open Graph Title">

If you’re running Stirling-PDF in Docker, make sure your docker-compose.yml has the correct volume mapping, e.g.:

Then restart your container for changes to take effect.

There’s no YAML or settings-based way to set these meta tags—you must edit the template files directly. If you want to use variables (like the app name or description), you can use Thymeleaf expressions in your HTML, but for most SEO customization, just hardcode your desired values in your custom template.
