SimPlot++ V1.3

These updates have been made following the peer review process for the journal Bioinformatics

new features:

• There is now an option in the user preferences page for saving the similarity network as a .svg rather than .png file.
• The SimPlot, BootScan and Similarity Network analyses can now be canceled mid-run.
• In addition to the progress bar on top of the app, a progression % is now displayed on the bottom right for the SimPlot, BootScan and Similarity Network analyses

Bug fix:

• The windows executable used to crash when using certain models. This was due to a stdout error involving a package. It should now be resolved.

SimPlot++ V1.2
New features:

• New popup window to avoid closing the app accidentally
• Feature restrictions while an analysis is running → avoids issues with launching the same analysis multiple times and conflicts if launching multiple different analyses at once
• A more strict and verbose file loader feature: Errors will be shown and better explained to the user for quicker troubleshooting.
• An example_data folder containing a few small datasets will now be installed next to the executable

• Small hotfix concerning the Phi-test analysis
• SimPlot quality control now shows negative values as different from erroneous datapoints

Initial SimPlot++ release using an installer.
