Updating Package Dependencies
This is a Pull Request to implement newer versions of previously used packages.
Why implement this change?
Some older versions of packages stopped being supported by the pip installer, therefore, it was not possible to pip install the requirements in a virtual environment.
Cautionary notes
Even though the changes are mostly refactoring, more tests would need to be done by the final user in order to make sure the application is behaving as expected.
