Description

The block switching addon mostly works fine except when switching variable reporters. When I try to switch to a different variable it often switches to a random variable without opening the menu. This bug does not occur when trying to switch any other type of block.

Steps to reproduce

1. Enter the project editor.
2. Right click a variable reporter.
3. Notice how the menu does not open, but the variable switches to a random other variable instead.
