I spent whole day today trying to run it via both my system ROCm and via Docker and all I got is a bunch of segfaults Not a single successful run so far. I had better succes with internal Ryzen 7900X GPU than my RX 7800 XT |

@OEvgeny - what OS are you running and did you install ROCm via your package manager ? |

you release AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 24.12.1 with "Official support for Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL 2) enables users with supported hardware to develop with AMD ROCm™ software on a Windows system, eliminating the need for dual boot set ups." and still do not support my 7800XT since June absolutely unforgivable I will never support AMD GPU again and actively dissuade anyone from buying one this can't be seen as anything other than anti-consumer predatory practices to upsell your highest card by withholding features "should have bought nvidia" lesson learned |

Its rediculous that AMD cant provide support. A random bloke in his sparetime has created a ROCm SDK build script that supports Vega throught to RDNA3. He's had to patch a lot of it due the source code being a mess. It takes 16h to compile on my I9 9900KF for my RX 7800 XT. FlashAttention, BitsandBytes, AOTRITON, VLLM, StableDiffusion.cpp are a few of the things that come with it. AMD, perhaps hire this guy. |

ROCm support is really terrible, having trouble with newer kernels, yes some key subcontracting or hiring would make a massive difference! |

@schung-amd, it's been six months since the last update. Has this subject made any move on the priority list? |

Hi @schung-amd, I was wondering if you could inform us about the RX7800XT distribution support. Given that Ubuntu 24.04 is supported and it's based on Debian 13, can we expect a Debian 13 support in the future (i.e., eventually, for sure), or does AMD not have concrete plans yet? Personally, I'm willing to wait out quite a few months, just to not set up a new distribution again, if I know Debian 13 support would arrive at all. (A new distribution setup typically comes with solving a bunch of compilation problems of hobbyist tools or software incompatibility.) However, if it won't get support, then there is no point of waiting, and I likely should search for other solutions, like repartitioning my system. Thanks in advance! |

Hello everyone,
I am not very familiar with the forum so I apologise in advance.
Regarding support for RDNA3 both on windows & linux, do we have an idea when they will support the 7800xt?
Also considering it is not officially supported, does anyone have experience with it? is it too crashy?
