Set-Location breaks $PWD #9293

Steps to reproduce
Steps documented below. $PWD.Path populates, but other members break (returning $null). This behavior does not happen by using Set-Location without piping.
Expected behavior
$ > Set-Location -Path C:\
$ > $PWD.Drive
