When rendering the quarto file, the previous pyplot import from matplotlib import pyplot as plt was giving me an error. Replaced with import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
updated pyplot import, and added myself as an author

I moved the rmd to quarto and played around so the images are generated by code and html is now interactive.
