When trying to open http://www.bit.ly or any shortened URL starting with http://www.bit.ly (some people add www prefix to shortened URLs), I am getting certificate alert that website certificate is valid only for https://bit.ly, not for https://www.bit.ly. Also, this HTTPS domain redirects to http://bit.ly.

Standard HTTP redirect chain is: http://www.bit.ly/whatever -> http://bit.ly/whatever -> destination webpage
